About a century back Guruvayur Thalappoli Sangham started Organising and Performing this Thalappoly with the help of devotees all over the world. The Guruvayur Thalappoli Sangham Registered as a charitable trust in 1965 and performed the thalappoli celebration with uttur devotion to Bhagavathi. Guruvayur Devaswom begins The Bhagavathi Pattu (Singing songs praising Godess in Traditional way) from the 1st day of Dhanu every year. The 21st Pattu is celebrated as "Piller thalappoli" (Thalappoli by the children of Bhagavathi the native youngsters)by Thalappoli Sangham.
